Or you could try to lure it's own explosive spore back to the plant. You can try to spam attack the plant if it's in reach. What to do in this scenario depends on where the plant grows and how many plants are in that area. Yes the plants with the exploding spores are extremely annoying.
I'm pretty sure that you want to heal as often as possible in the fungal wastes but do not let this prevent you from using magic attacks like "revengeful spirit" in order to at least weaken the ememies by a large amount. This way you can see for example where you would land if you jump down. You can move the screen a little bit by looking up or down for a while. This needs some training (you have to repeat the attack) for the right attack speed, but if you can master it then you can avoid most of the attack patterns from many enemies.
